  • Abstract摘要

    The axion is a prominent dark matter candidate, with numerous experiments dedicated to its detection. Apart from astrophysical searches, producing axions in terrestrial laboratories represents a vital complementary approach. Current experimental schemes often involve laser injection into a magnetic field to generate axions. This talk will explore several alternative methods, including interactions between ultra-intense, ultra-fast lasers and plasma, as well as between optical lasers and crystalline materials. These innovative approaches aim to enhance axion production rates in laboratory settings.

    报告人简介

    Dr. Zhan Bai is currently an Associate Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Peking University in 2018. Following his doctoral studies, he held postdoctoral positions at the Department of Astronomy, Peking University, and at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests encompass topics such as QCD phase transitions, neutron star equations of state, early universe simulations, dark matter, and high-field physics.
